Persembahan (Preparation of the Gifts) [SIT]

As in the U.S., Offerings are collected and gifts presented, accompanied by the Offertory Hymn.

In the preparation of the altar, the Indonesian version of the exchange combines the blessing of the bread and wine, whereas in the American version, the blessings are separate.

Kami memuji Engkau, ya Bapa, Allah semesta alam

      Blessed are you, God of all creation

Sebab dari kemurahanMu kami menerima roti (dan anggur) yang kami persembahkan ini.

      Through your goodness we have this bread (and wine) to offer

Inilah hasil dari bumi dan usaha manusia

      Which Earth has given and human hands have made.

Yang bagi kami akan menjadi santapan rohani

      It will become for us the bread of life.

Terpujilah Allah selama-lamanya

      Blessed be God forever.

Berdoalah saudara-saudara supaya persembahan kita ini diterima oleh Allah, Bapa yang mahakuasa.

      Pray, brethren, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.

      Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

      It is right to give Him thanks and praise.

Doa Syukur Agung (Eucharistic Prayer)

This is the second Eucharistic Prayer (out of eight published in Bahasa Indonesian Mass books). It is the most commonly used, and matches the standard English-language Eucharistic Prayer II. Note that the prayer is more interactive, with portions spoken or sung by the congregation.

Sungguh kuduslah Engkau, ya Bapa, sumber segala yang kudus.

      Lord you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness.

Maka kami mohon: semoga RohMu menyucikan persembahan ini.

      Let your spirit come upon these gifts to make them Holy...

Agar menjadi bagi kami, tubuh dan darah PuteraMu terkasih, Tuhan kami Yesus Kristus.

      ...so that they may become for us the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pada malam Ia diserahkan, sebelum menderita sengsara dengan rela,

      Before he was given up to death, a death he freely accepted

Yesus mengambil roti, mengucap syukur,

      He (Jesus) took bread and gave you thanks.

Lalu membagi-bagi roti itu dan memberikannya kepada para murid seraya berkata:

      (He) broke the bread, gave it to his disciples and said,

"Terimalah dan makanlah! Inilah tubuhKu yang dikurbankan bagimu."

      "Take this all of you, and eat it. This is my body which has been given up for you."

Demikian pula sesudah perjamuan Ia mengambil piala.

      When supper was ended, he took the cup.

Sekali lagi Ia mengucap syukur,

      Again he gave you thanks and praise.

Lalu mengedarkan piala itu kepada para murid seraya berkata:

      (He) gave the cup to his disciples and said,

"Terimalah dan minumlah!

Inilah piala darahKu, darah perjanjian baru dan kekal,

Yang ditumpahkan bagimu dan bagi semua orang demi pengampunan dosa.

Kenangkanlah Aku dengan merayakan peristiwa ini."

      "Take this, all of you, and drink from it.

      This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant.

      It will be shed for you and for all men, so that sins may be forgiven.

      Do this in memory of me."

Maklumkanlah misteri iman kita

      Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:

Tuhan Engkau sudah wafat.

Tuhan Engkau kini hidup.

Engkau sang Juru Selamat.

Datanglah ya Yesus Tuhan. Amin.

      Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Amen.

Maka, sambil mengenangkan wafat dan kebangkitan Kristus,

Kami mempersembahkan kepadaMu ya Bapa, roti kehidupan dan piala keselamatan.

      In memory of his death and ressurection, we offer you, Father, this life-giving bread, this saving Cup.

Kami bersyukur, sebab Engkau menganggap kami layak menghadap Engkau dan berbakti kepadaMu.

      We thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve you.

Kami mohon, agar kami yang menerima tubuh dan darah Kristus,

Dipersatukan oleh Roh Kudus menjadi umatMu.

Tuhan Yesus Kristus, janganlah memperhitungkan dosa kami.

      Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles,

Tetapi perhatikanlah iman gerjaMu,

      I give you peace, my peace I give you,

Dan restuilah kami supaya hidup bersatu dengan rukun

      Look not on our sins,

Sesuai dengan kehendakMu

      But on the faith of your Church

Sebab Engkaulah pengantara kami,

      And grant us the peace and unity of your Kingdom

Kini dan sepanjang masa,

      (Because you are our bridge...) for ever and ever
