GREGORIAN Monastic and Mendicant Catholic Religious Orders - Gregorian Chant #tag: I did not make this video for deep explanatory or instructional
purposes, but as a general overview of these religious orders. I have
included only the most well known and popular orders, with the Latin
name and abbreviation as well as the common English name. The pictures
are a collection of Monastic and Mendicant monks and friars, and do not
chronologically coincide with the slides. 'Laetetur Cor' is being
chanted:
Laetetur cor quaerentium Dominum.
Let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek ye the Lord, and be strengthened: seek his face evermore. Give glory to the Lord, and call upon his name: declare his deeds among the Gentiles. Let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek ye the Lord, and be strengthened: seek his face evermore.
