Ambrosian chant is from the Ambrosian rite of the Roman church in the
Catholic Church. This is my first video of Ambrosian chant. It reminds
one of Byzantine chant; its almost like east meets west; Greek style
with Latin lyrics. The Latin lyrics and English translation follow:
Paravi lucernam christo meo. Inimicos ejus induam confusione; super ipsum autem efflorebit sanctificatio mea. Memento, Domine, David, et omnis mansuetudinis ejus. Super ipsum autem efflorebit sanctificatio mea.
I have prepared a lamp for my anointed. His enemies I will clothe with confusion: but upon him shall my sanctification flourish. Lord, remember David, and all his meekness. But upon him shall my sanctification flourish.
