GREGORIAN
Lumen ad Revelationem - Catholic Songs, Gregorian Chant
#tag: Lumen ad revelationem gentium: et gloriam plebes tuae Israel.
This is a beautifully chanted traditional hymn. It is from the CD 'Sublime Chant'. The background image is Caravaggio's "Calling of St. Matthew". The Latin lyrics and English translation:

Lumen ad revelationem gentium: et gloriam plebes tuae Israel.
Nunc dimittis servum tuum Domine, secundum verbum tuum in pace,
quia viderunt oculi mei salutare tuum, quod parasti ante faciem omnium populorum.
Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto, sicut erat in principio, et nunc et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

A light to the revelation of the Gentiles, and the glory of Thy people Israel.
Now dismiss your servant, O Lord, according to your word in peace,
because my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared before the face of all peoples. Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
